Brittney’s Seizure - Urgent Prayers Please! - 11/5/24

 Brittney’s Seizure - Urgent Prayers Please! - 11/5/24

On our way home from Florida we stopped at a Buccee’s in Athens, Alabama where Brittney started feeling strange and unwell. Soon Brittney started to experience a serious 5+ minute seizure (went unconscious, eyes rolled back, shaking, foaming at the mouth).  At one point Brittney stopped breathing for about 30 seconds and turned purple, but I was able to give her rescue breaths and she was able to start breathing again. Scary.

After the seizure, Brittney was confused for another 15 minutes but then stabilized. The staff at Buc-ee’s (Athens, AL), bystanders, firefighters, EMTs, and hospital staff have been amazing.

More than anything we are so grateful to God for protecting Brittney’s life today.

Ways to pray:

       No more seizures for Brittney

Wisdom for the doctors and all the necessary testing and next steps

Safe travel home whenever we get released

For our girls to recover from the trauma of what they witnessed

Psalm 91:1-2 “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. [2] I will say to the LORD, ‘My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’”

11/5/24 EVENING

UPDATE: Thank you for your prayers for Brittney, the Lord answered! Thankfully she is alive with no permanent damage. The Alabama ER Dr talked to Brittney’s neuro care team in Louisville and we were discharged. We decided to spend the night locally and plan on returning home in the morning. Please pray for her continued protection.

God is always good!

Ecclesiastes 7:14 “In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider: God has made the one as well as the other, so that man may not find out anything that will be after him.”
